Printing something directly from your smartphone or iPhone or iPad might be difficult. So it will be easier for you to send the file to your desktop and print it. But you don’t need to choose the way because it has become easier to print from your mobile device over the years.

Follow these steps to make it happen

From airprint enabled apps you can create print full-quality documents and graphics without the chore of installing drivers or configuring the printer queue.

Requirements are little. You just have to have a model iPad, an iPhone 3GS and later, or a third-generation iPod Touch — or the latest version of iOS and an AirPrint-compatible printer with the latest firmware.

Airprint and iPhone models have the same functions, so you can easily use the softwares no matter if you have an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 12 Pro.

Step 1

Connect your WI-FI

When you want to use Airprint, just make sure that your printer and iphone are connected to the same WI-FI network or not. Because in the office setting there are multiple WiFi available, so enable the AirPrint function depending on which one your printer is using. For more details,

Check your printer’s manual or the manufacturer’s website.

Step 2

Now, Select the printer.

By opening an AirPrint-supported app such as Mail, Safari, or Evernote, Check the connection between your iPhone and the printer. In most of the apps there is an arrow that means a forward or reply email icon.

So you have to tap the icon and select print after that your printer will appear as a selected device. If not then select your printer at the top and allow your iPhone to scan for nearby printers.

Step 3

Choose the number of copies

Tap the addition and subtraction arrows to the right of Copy, Select the number of copies you want to print. One copy is enough but you can print up to a total of 99 pages. You can also reveal color and also can see how many pages (because there are multiple options) are there by tapping Options.

Step 4: Print

After selecting your printer and the number of pages you want, click ‘Print’. You will find this option in the  top-right corner of the page. And if you want to cancel your print or want to check your status then Tap the home button choosing Print Center while in the App Switcher, and tap Cancel Printing.

Step 1

Activate email printing

The thing that you will do at first is activate the email function. From device to device, the enabling process will vary. Epson Connect, for instance — but the entire process should be outlined in greater detail in your printer’s manual or on the manufacturer’s website. Upon activation, the printer will be assigned a default email address. It  will likely amount to a series of random characters at a specified domain name. You can still change this later to something you will actually remember. You don’t have to connect your iPhone to the same wireless network as your printer to use email printing. Your printer still needs to connect via Wi-Fi as opposed to a standard USB cable.

Step 2

If you set it up properly then you will need email, a document or an image from your iphone to your printer so it will automatically print a file  to the default specifications. Typically letter size on plain paper, unless you adjusted the default settings during activation. If your file format is Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as JPEGs, GIFS, and PNGs, then your printer will accept it otherwise not.

If you want to know more details about acceptable file formats, size, and the number of printable attachments then check your printer.

Not Airprint not Email printing, you can always settle for software directly from your printer’s manufacturer or another third-party source. You can snag the Presto (formerly FingerPrint) and downloading the free iOS app that is compatible with nearly all printers.

You will find this app in chrome and on Android. You can connect your printer and computer to the third party device with same WiFi network

Step 1

Download and install the application

Go to the manufacturer’s website or app store. After that download and install the app.

Step 2:

Launch the application

On your computer or iPhone, launch the application.

Step 3

Connect to Wi-Fi

There’s a feature in your presto as a magic queue. It allows you to save print jobs until you’re connected to Wi-Fi again. It will be helpful for you when you can’t print because you don’t have a network or printer near.

If you want to enable a feature then launch an app like notes or one that has a box with an arrow pointing out of its icon. Tap the icon that we said about and hit the same box icon  you will find this in the top right corner. After that Tap presto.

A new page will appear there where Presto’s Magic Queue has already been chosen as the default printer.

Now hit print to save print work.

Step 4

Select the printer

Open an app such as Mail, Safari, or Evernote to check the connection between your iPhone and the printer.

So many apps will feature a familiar arrow that resembles a forward or reply icon or there will be a box with an arrow pointing up. you just have to tap the icon, then select print and tap select printer and your printer should appear as the selected device by default. If it doesn’t work then tap select printer that will allow your iPhone to scan any printers you checked in Step 2.  And your computer will access the printer.

Step 5

Choose the number of copies

The number of copies you want to print select them by tapping the addition and subtraction arrows to the right of Copy. One copy is mandatory, but only can print up to a total of 99 pages at once if you’re feeling trigger happy.

Step 6

After selecting your printer and the number of pages you want, click ‘Print’. You will find this option in the  top-right corner of the page. And if you want to cancel your print or want to check your status then Tap the home button choosing Print Center or the print summary equivalent for the app you’re using.

With google you can do anything and printing is no exception. Google cloud print helps you to print from any Google app including the Chrome browser, Gmail, or Google Docs. You have to sign in to your Google account. Via Google Cloud Print, you can print other things by using  a third-party app.

Step 1

Get a Google account

If you did something without creating a Google account, create one by going to Google and clicking Sign Up.

Then create a profile by following the steps.

Step 2

Download the PrintCentral Pro app for your iPad or iPhone

Cloud print only works with google apps and for IOS there’s no Google Cloud Print app. Also you are able to use PrintCentral Pro. On the App Store you can buy this app for $6. When you download it just launch it.

Step 3

Choose something you want to print

You have to select a menu with three horizontal lines. When you open the menu, choose a file, image, email, document, or web page to print.

Always keep it in mind that if you want to print an email, you have to check beforehand that your email account is synced to the app. With specific files, be sure they’ve been added to the iCloud first. For printing images, Google will simply request access to them, and you’ll need to approve that request. After you’ve found the content you wish to print and set your affairs in order, select the printer icon in the top-right corner.

Step 4

Add printers

On your device’s screen, a Printer (WiFi) page will appear. By tapping the Addition symbol, you can choose to add a printer. Then you have to select Google Cloud Printing, then enter your gmail address and tap the blue button that says Save.

Step 5

Now the Google Cloud Printing will select the correct file and a print preview page will appear there. And there will be a file and document that you are trying to print. Two options will also appear on the screen: You are able to save google drive or  Modify Your Printer Settings.

You’ll find the options to Preview, Print, or Print Later to schedule your printing requests, At the bottom of the page.
