WPS means WiFi protected setup. It lets you set up your extender. You don’t need to type the network name and password. Every router doesn’t support the WPS. If your router doesn’t have a WPS button then you need to set up your extender with a different method.

To set up your extender using WPS

  • If there (In Extender) is an Extender switch, then you need to set it to extender.
  • Now you need to plugin your extender in the same room where you have placed your router.
  • The Power LED lights.
  • Press the power button On/Off, if the power LED doesn’t light.
  • Wait until your Extender’s LED is stable.
  • It will take some time.
  • If you are setting up your extender a second time then perform factory reset.
  • Now you have to press the WPS button on your extender.
  • The WPS LED blinks.
  • Press the WPS button on your router, Within two minutes.
  • Your Extender’s WPS LED lights and then it stays solid.
  • Now unplug your extender and then move it to a new location.
  • The distance between your router and the area of the WI-FI signal is approximately halfway.
  • Now Plugin your Extender and then you have to wait until Power LED lights.
  • You need to use a router link LED so it will help you to choose a spot where the extender-to-router connection is optimal.
  • To the extended network, Connect your WiFi-enabled computer or mobile device.
  • Depending on your specific extender, the extended network name is one of the following:
  • The same as your original network

  • The same as your original network with _EXT added

  • The same as your original network with _2GEXT or _5GEXT added

MyWiFiExample_2GEXT, MyWiFiExample_5GEXT

  • The same as your original network with _2G or _5G added

For the extended network and the original network the password is the same.
